One small thing that goes a long way is accountability, we all make mistakes, it happens... but what sets you apart is the way you respond, Are you going to make excuses or be upfront and say, "I messed up, but this is how I will make it up." In the long run accountability is what makes clients come back to you.

Client retention is very important for my small biz. I' think what has my clients coming back is that I am very honest with them. When my machine is down, or when I'm doing extra maintenance or if I don't have perfect prints. If I ever take a break from printing to make my machine print better they know it's to make sure I give them the best print quality as I can give and they love that. My clients don't mind being patient in order to make sure that their prints are to the best quality. I think that my honesty and communication is what makes them a keep coming back. And of course, the print quality too!
